So far I've only used the big jointed version of the long, the B17J Jointed
Magnum Long A to be exact. With its
18cm it is quite a bite, but small pike readily attack it and sometimes even a
zander. The rattle is low pitched "klock". I believe these are the
first plugs produced in the increasingly popular transparent design.
There are a lot of other variants of the long A, there naming follows the
following rules: B XY A/J. The first cipher ('X') stands for the diving depth: 1
is the shallow runner, 2 the deep runner. The second cipher('Y') stands for the
length in inches and momentarily varies from 4 to 7. At the end there's an 'A'
for the straight ones and a 'J' for the jointed models. While I haven't tried
much with the other models there do seem to be some very good plugs among them,
when you use them in the right situations.
