Rapala Husky Jerk

The Husky Jerk is a suspending model (very slow sinking on a steel leader) which has built in rattles. The colour shown, 'Clown' (CLN), has been very successful in Canada, here I have had better success with natural designs like: the greenish 'Tennessee Shad' (TSD), Silver (S) and Blue-Silver (SB). I like to present it with irregular sometimes sharp jerks (as the name implies) with short pauses in between. Sometimes more aggressive, but sometimes also a more subtle (but irregular) presentation, making it look like a dying fish, is very successful especially for pike. For me this is definitely a pike lure, the small ones are also good for black bass.
