Grandma

The Grandma is available in sizes from 8cm up to unbelievable 40cm! I have had good success on pike with the shown 15cm model. It's got a strong tilting sideways movement which lets the flanks shine up very nicely. The somewhat damped discreet rattles add to the attraction. The lure doesn't cast very easily and a single strand leader is recommended. Surprisingly it does also seem to loose a bit more fish than usual even though it is well fitted with hooks. There are two different diving lips, smaller ones better suited for jerking and twitching, the larger ones better for "normal" retrieves and trolling. There is now also a deep diving version, but that is really a different lure in my eyes.
A very similar lure is the Jake by Musky Mania.
