The removable lead head makes the Lusox a very versatile lure.
Without the lead it can be used in the shallowest water you can expect pike to
hold. Even weeds growing to the surface can often be overcome. With lead it can
be fished in water as deep as 4m. With the lead head it has got a very good
action on the sink and starts turning immediately so it would be foolish not to
stop the retrieve once in awhile. In the meanwhile there is also a
double spinner on the market,
but it can be easily made from to single ones as well. mounting to
spinners of the same size in a row is especially interesting (normally the one
in front is smaller, so the one behind still gets enough "wind"):
if you pull it fast, the rear blade just flutters a bit in the lee but if
you retrieve it really slow it creates very strong thumping vibrations, which
the pike seem to love. Except for pike I have also caught perch and asp on this
lure.
