Here you will find information on venues I have fished. The most interesting is naturally the reports on foreign destinations.

My home waters, where I fish on a more or less regular basis.

• Birs
  The Birs is a feeder stream of the Rhine with a strong current, which I fish from the mouth upstream to Reinach. Trout water.

• Rhine and adjoining
  In the Rhine I fish from Schweizerhalle (upstream of Basle) down almost to the region of Strasbourg. In France mostly in the so called rest Rhine and similar backwaters in the vicinity of power stations and locks. The French permit includes some smaller venues which I also handle here.

• Bern
  Sometimes I also fish in the nearby region of Bern, mainly the lake of Biel. Website of the Bern fisheries board (very good!)

Travels

• Po near San Benedetto April 2006
  On the hunt for wels with the Blinker Moderators. For once not much spinning, but ground fishing for wels and bait fish.

• Puerto de Mogan October 2005
  A repeat holiday is not what we usually do. This time I get to fish the black bass in the embalses...

• Grankullavik July 2005
  Sweden again. This time with family and with less pike but the first one for my daughter.

  Complete fishing holiday. An enormous number of pike including my first meter-

  Gran Canaria with the family. I wanted to find the black bass in the mountains, but it turned out all different...

  A short holiday on the nice Baltic island with it's Bodden. Family was with me but one morning an two days of fishing where enough for nice results! 
• Ural delta, Kazakhstan, October 2001
  The Ural again, this time in autumn. Only half a day of really good pike fishing but lots of zander in exchange and a great catfish.
• Lago di Lugano, Switzerland, July 2001
  First vacation with my small daughter, but managed a few black bass and (small) zander.
• Skjoldafjorden, Norway, July 1999
  Not quite the typical Norway I intended: Only small cod, but nice sea trout and a salmon.
• Lake Oliver, Canada, July 1998
  Canada differently: not salmon on the pacific coast, but pike and lake trout in the middle.
• Ural delta, Kazakhstan, June 1997
  I will never forget the Ural delta. Haven't seen so many pike on a spot anywhere else.

  With the house boat on the Shannon and Lough Erne. Not very good: small pike and nice perch.

  Three Trips to the reservoir of the Ebro upstream of the catfish craze. An eldorado for black bass fisherman with an upcoming population of zander.
